A micro climate of hot dry exposed land that feels more like Colorado than the Berkshires. We created a drought tolerant native perennial garden that plays off the corten and hemlock of the house. A garden that will bloom throughout the seasons, provide habitat & nutrients to native bees, birds & butterflies and keep its structural interest in the winter months. Between the two structures, nine grey birch trees dappled with native shrubs and grasses creates a both privacy and a beautiful grove to wander through when walking between the two homes.
